New setup not working

Just installed a new DVD writer (BenQ 400a +R/RW) internal. Came bundled w/ Intervideo's WinCinema bundle (WinDVDCreator Plus & WinDVD 4 Player). The Player portion works fine, the WinDVD Creator+ installed fine. But win I run it the preview window comes up blank.

In other words; No video it seems not to be accepting any video coming in from my ATI VE Tuner card.

It also doesn't seem to recognize that I have any video input source at all, because the panel that let me select the type of video source (TV, Digital Camera or WebCam) is shaded out.

Any suggestions?

Are you trying to play an mpeg, mpeg2 or avi file in preview mode on the computer before burning?

I can play an avi in edit mode. But can't do a thing in capture mode.
