I am an absolute beginner at video editing and have a million questions to ask - however, I'll limit myself to one for the time being as my system seems to have gone belly up!
I recently bought Magix Video 2.0Plus with the intention of finally doing something with all my old home videos. Since installing I have noticed that whenever I play an mpg file in Windows Media Player (Ver:9) - it uses the Ligos decoder for video and audio. I know Magix uses Ligos for capturing etc. but I'm pretty sure Media Player didn't before. I don't seem to be able to adjust brightness/contrast etc. when playing back my mpg's in Media Player and I'm sure I could before. Has Magix overwritten something and should I do anything about it?
My ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500DV card also refuses to capture either TV or video anymore - but that's another story!
