SVCD PAL/NTSC Converter

A friend gave me a copy of their wedding on SVCD. They are American and I cant play their NTSC SVCD on my Australian (PAL) DVD player.
I extracted the mpeg2 file to my computer before they left, but i dont know how to convert it to PAL.
TMPGEnc wont even open it.
Is there a NTSC -> PAL converter?
My head hurts with trying things

are you able to play that mpeg2 file with your standart... dvd player application or another player on your computer??? I might have a workaround if you are able to do so.....


for this workaround it might be neccesary to demox your mpeg2 file...... let me know!!!

can you demux your file with the TMPEG mpeg tools??
