Those .rar files are just posts designed to force you to run out and buy the latest release of WinRAR to extract the .mpg inside (they're like .zip files). If you think $30 is worth seeing the post, more power to you. .bin files (like .exe) are executible programs (and a perfect way to sneak a virus on your machine.)

uh oh what do I read ....eeerrh....

      to answer your questions ,clmtdtp10

*.rar files are indeed compressed files in the kind of a zipped file...
do not run out and buy winrar just download it.....extraction of an
archive is free with winrar...... just compressing files into rar
does cost you something after the test period of winrar ran out...

after you have installed winrar you can check the *.rar file with your
antivirus program before extracting.... but anyway do it with every
data you have downloaded from net....
in your case I suppose the bin file do represent Images that were created by a burning program like nero.... to extract the contents
just get the Deamon Tools 333 or Alcohol 120%.

with those you can create a virtual drive that behaves
like anormal DVD or CD rom drive..... mount your bin files into that
virtual drive then you can browse its content like any other drive

if you are afraid of virusses check the virtual drive also.....
you can also burn the bin file to disk using the "burn image"
option in your burning program.... but I recommend Deamon tools
to check before you risk any coasters

      good luck!!
