No subs even though all subpicture streams checked

I shrinked Little Nicky as it was just to test this little proggie. First lemme congratulate!! I didn't even remove any extra audio streams(5 + main) or subs and the picture quality was excellent, even though ratio was at like 40%. Great Job!!! The problem i experienced was that no subtitles appear on the movie. Little Nicky is a kind of weird dvd because subs can't be selected from the menu, you have to select them from the remote but even selected they do not appear. The movie is also Closed Captioned, but turning it on on the tv also doesn't display anything. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

I don't exactly get what you did.

Was the movie something you ripped off the DVD, or was it an *.avi that you wanted to merge with a subtitling file.

If it was a DVD, you need the rip the movie and the subtitles seperately, and then merge then later in a program (VirtualDub is the most commonly used merging tool for this type of thing, among others).
