    ATI Radeon

Ok I have the ATI Radeon 9200.
It has a TV out. The TV out works but I cannot view any movies from my computer to my television. No matter waht program I use it is like a black hole cause i see everything else on my desktop including windows media player but I do not see the movie. Is there something I can do to fix this problem. Is there someone who has had the same problem and has some suggestions for me.

I will thank you in advanced because Iknow someone will come through for me. You always do.

    Any information is welcommed

Look around in the Advanced Display Properties of the video card. If memory serves me right, it MIGHT be around the Clone tab (or something like that). I don't have my main system with me for now (where my Radeon card is installed in), so I can't give specific directions.

Tell us how it goes. Cheers!

"I did not get an ati multimedie center incl."

You don't need that in order to be able to output to TV.

Simply make sure that you have the latest version of Catalyst and that the connection between the TV and TV-out port is detected by the card. The software should then auto-configure everything (in this area, the ATI driver does it much better and conveniently than nVidia's).

And the TV-out IS working, I can se my win desktop. But when I playback a movie, avi, mgp, quicktime, real. In Media player, windvd, zoomplayer. Everything in the player turns black.

                *sigh*

                  Hi reznor,

It's kind of hard for me to decide what to say when I don't have my reference system with me. Anyway, try searching the Overlay (or Clone, whichever exists) tab for the Theatre Mode option. I remember it can be found somewhere there (unless ATI has decided to move it elsewhere with newer versions of their driver).

                    You are a GOD Enchanter.
Found the damn Theatre Mode, well hidden under a tab called overlay. Not very logical... >:/

everything works fine now. Except a little flickering in the image.

                    Thanks again

ok i got a Radeon 9200 with 3.7 drivers and there are no theater mode .
iv used my tv out to see matrix reloaded and it was perfect
                      what i did was
1: plug in the svideo cable
                      2: boot the computer
3: play the disk thats it nothing more.

(one more thing while watching on tv my monitor was unpluged)

perhaps and i just assume u having some kind of either codec or software problem with ur media players
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!
