    Divx > VCD

If I burn an AVI (coded with Divx !!) as VCD on CD the movie got some purple colored effects like shadows or something else. What's that ? It's only on Divx > VCD

    Could you help ?

    Thx

    1) Load the original .AVI video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

The purple color is due to the fact that this .AVI was created using the terrible Anglepotion hack of the DivX v.3.11alpha codec. You might want to try changing the FOURCC code to "DIV3" - using one of the FOURCC changer programs available at DivXDigest...

(I'm guessing that you'll also have audio/video synch problems, due to the small number of audio samples)
