Sure. You can burn them as image files with nearly every burner program on the market (and copy them back on your machine when you figure out what to do with them. Considering the cost of a RW, it's usually used to test { or at least a temporary solution...since you'll want to use it again in the future.) I just got finished burning a slew of shorts (getting as many as 7 history channel segments (45min each after cutting out the commercials) on one +R disc using TMPGenc DVD Author (after DVDShrinking them) by making each segment a different track....but that is a permanent solution for play on a stand-alone player. An Image file can only be played on your PC.
