I wan't to convert AVI to VCD.
    What program should I use?
I wan't the format to be in the same quality as the AVI file.
Tell me from start to finish how I do this.
How big will the output file be?
    The orginal file is 662MB.

Use TMPGEnc and take a look at http://www.vcdhelper.com/ or any other guide. Standard VCD has a resolution of 352x288 and is compressed with MPEG-1. DivX-movies often have higher resolutions and are compressed with MPEG-4 (better than MPEG-1), so you normally wont reach the same quality. Maybe you can make a (X)SVCD. It allowes higher resolutions and is compressed with MPEG-2.
    don't trust in guides

Just a footnote, if I may. Although benderman is absolutely correct about the somewhat diminished quality, since you'll probably be viewing the VCD on a television, you should find the output of a properly burned VCD to be quite acceptable.
