Hello,
I have suddenly develped this problem during movie playback where there is background music etc but no voice. It occurred when I fast forwarded a movie and now no movies work. The problem occurrs in all players I have tried (WMP9, BSplayer, WinDvd).
I have tried installing Nimo and Tsunami codecs. It also seems to affect my MP3's, the playback is also distorted. I even tried re-installing DirectX9 with no effect however.
I am wondering if the corrupt file is just being ignored rather than reinstalled? Is it possible to remove DirectX and then install it? I did a search and saw some post with the same problems but did not see any solutions.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
