Playing Divx files on tv

Hi all,

i got some problem displaying my divx files on my tv, i got a tv out graphic card that plays my dvd movies on the tv, but when i try to play any other kind (divx, xvid etc) it shows blank screen.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Check the following.

With nVidia cards, make sure that the Full Screen Device (under Advanced Display -> Whatever-Geforce-model-you-have Tab -> Overlay Controls side tab) is set to your TV (usually the Secondary display).

With ATI cards, make sure that the Theatre Mode (under the Overlay tab in the Advanced Display settings) is enabled.

I think you need a codec? What player application are you using?
