    conversion

    hey guys
    do u kno how to convert a mpg, mpeg, avi, or divx movie file into a format that will be able to be burned onto a cd as vcd
    because i got some movies.. most are in 2 parts
    so i wanna kno how to convert them to vcd format
    and wat program to use

        also wat happens when tmpge says that the file is not supported???? even when i can watch the video (avi)
        .........

            Then most likely the sound is not supported

            Can you give the properties of both video and audio ?

                hey abdul i have lord of the rings that i want to make into a vcd
                it is .avi file
                the sound is mpeg layer-3 with 96 kbps bit rate
                the video is 20 frames/sec with 62 kbps
                all three are like that

                  The 20 frames/sec is the problem

                  In order for TMPGEnc to accept it, it must either be 25 fr/sec (PAL) or 23.97 fr/sec NTSC

                  You can change the framerate with VDub.

                    I Have just Had the same problem But got solution from
                    VDC Help.com

                    Open TMPG
                    Go to Options ,Environmental Setting
                    Go to the VFAPI Plug In

                    Right Click on then Direct Show Multimedia File
                    and select higher Prioty.

                    Move Priorty for this file up to 1 Then try opening your
                    AVI file.


                    This worked for My Copy

                      i have had problems with tempenc when i used it.. when i converted it it gave me some green crap all over.. can ne1 help it is way quicker then avi-vcd but i have to use it due to the green crap on it .. u know when u try play vobs that havent been decrypted.. thats tsuuf.... if u can help then plz.. tell me how!!!!
