I use a Dazzle Hollywood Dv-Bridge capturing device which connects via firewire with my Sony Pent 4 1.5ghz computer.
Excellent capturing as far as no frames dropped. The problem is that it's on the darkside (not real bad) when playing back.
Capturing from vhs with or without macrovision, it has the same problem. I use to have a computer with a capture card. You had the ability to adjust things like brightness, contrast, etc. But capturing with DV, I guess you don't have that option, right?-Because of being digital right?.
Does anyone have suggestions or a way around this problem. It's a perfect setup except for not being able to adjust the darkness. It helps to turn up brightness on the monitor for playing these captured clips. But when using a player to view multiple video clips, including others that I haven't captured, you can understand the problem. Thankyou.
