well have tested half the backups of mine that use to play in my machines,they play perfectly in the digitor player,not necassarily true,but technically you must have a player that can handle DVD-R,DVD+R,DVD-RW,DVD+RW,then the usual stuff,VCD,SVCD,CD,CD-R,CDR-RW(which this new digitor machine of mine does) so basically problem solved for me, remembering though that my LG DV5502P player will play DVD+R and DVD+RW,so i'd say find a good + media and see what happens,
