    Pixilated low color video

    My Setup:
Athlon XP 1700+ proc, 512 MB PC2400 DDR Ram, Asus A7V266 mobo, Pioneer 16x DVD-ROM, ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder 8500 DV, Dell 1226H 19" Monitor, running under Windows XP Pro with all the latest drivers.
    My Problem:
I installed the ATI card about a month ago and everything was perfect. Display was sharp, Video (TV/DVD/MPEG) was clear, crisp, and smooth and colors were vibrant. Then one day while starting a DVD movie I noticed a lot of pixilation and low color (8 or 16 bpp), I checked my display setting but it was fine at 1280 X 1024 / 32 bpp / 85 Hz refresh... So then I tried the TV player and Windows Media (Mpeg) and it was the same. I figured that it might be the drivers, so I reinstalled them with no result. Then I decided to reformat and start over. So I installed a fresh copy of Win XP but I still get the same pixilated bad quality videos. Jpegs and Bmp, etc. pictures seem fine, only video seems to be affected. FYI, my monitor has been giving me some problems lately, like, flickering even though my refresh is set to 85 Hz, some ghosting, and wavy lines occasionally. But wouldn't this effect overall image quality, not just video quality? Why am I getting this bad quality video? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks in advance
