Converted AVI -> WMV fine except for jerky transistions - HELP!!!

Hi - just saved a file in Windows Movie Maker 2 as WMV - it plays fine no skipping until there are scene transistions - I am using snow fall ones for Chrimbo.

Can I make these smoother? Thanks a lot

Microsoft has a user forum for MM2...you may find more knowledgeable users there. I know that creating transitions takes a lot of CPU usage...and this is where weak storyboard editors fall apart. I've never had any problems with ULead VS7's transitions...they look great, and always work. But MovieStar5 freezes/crashes and burns if you try to put a transition in. Never tried transitions for MM2 during the brief time I used it (a year ago).
