Change aspect ratio????

Hy out there,

i've a problem. I've got an avi, but the aspect ratio is 1:2,35. The original aspect ratio is 16:9. (So all the people in the movie look very slim I'm searchin for a software with that i can change my aspect ratio. Can someone help me?

What you might try is to resize the avi in Virt.Dub with the resize filter.
