Help On Compressing Avi Files

I was wondering if there is a program out there that can compress avi mpeg etc..Without compromising audio/video if there is anyone that can help please respond

In order to (hopefully) provide you with an intelligent response, I'd ask that you first do the following:

1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

magicstick28083, your file is already compressed (divx+mp3) and applying another encoding will be very lossly.

I'm pretty sure that Setarip, with his (her) 14318 posts, has never seen such a screenshot!

Well it's not the fact that i want to compress the video or audio or the avi, it's the size, it's 715 mb and i want to burn it on a disc that only holds 700 mb, sorry if i confused anyone. Like that screenshot? lol one of a kind

if it was 900kbps rather then 985kbps it woulda probly fit on the CD. You might be able to re compress it down to 900 and not have to much loss but it's a bad idea to compress already compressed video.

1) If you have NERO and your burner supports overburn, you may be able to fit the entire 715Mb on one 80 minute/700Mb CD

2) Simply cutting off the end credits may reduce the size sufficiently

3) I had to stand 15 feet away from my monitor, so as not to be overwhelmed by your screengrab ;>}
