TMPGenc help please!!! Need version 12a

Hi. I have been reading the tutorials on how to convert .avi files into .mpg files. I need TMPGenc. I have downloaded this off of digital digest, but I have not downloading the appropiate version. In all the tutorials, it says I need version 12a, yet I do not have that version and it seems to be unavailable at the TMPGenc site. If someone could please help me, I would greatly appreciate it. PLEASE!!! Thank you for your time.

You should feel comfortable in using the more current version of TMPGEnc. It's merely an older "how-to" document that you've read ;>}

Ok, Fair enough. But because of the outdated tutorials, I am unsure of how to keep a widescreen divx movie in widescreen form. Can anyone help me out on this. When using TMPGenc, what setting(s) must be on to keep a widescreen video in widescreen??? Someone please help. Thank You.
