How to create a Mini DVD

    Hi
I've got a vob file, ripped from a dvd, and it's about 500Mb and so is big enough to fit on to a CD-R. I want to make a Mini DVD from it but I've tried using the latest version of Nero, using the Mini DVD option, but when ever I feed it in it either just leaves the 'Burn' button greyed out so I can't burn it, or if using Nero Express, it allows me to click burn, it then comes up with a message saying that there is a problem with the file and it might not work
I've looked on the net and various video encoding sites but there isn't a lot about on Mini DVD creation.

Anyone got a fool proof way of Creating Mini dvd's, coz I'm a fool hehehehe

I've no idea of Minidisc format demands but I suggest that VirtualDubMod might change your VOB into a WMF or something usable

just reread your post! sorry, I read Minidisc but I think the answer should be along the same lines but try to change to a AVI or similar.

Are you just trying to burn a "single" VOB file with Nero's MiniDVD setting?

hmm, interesting. None of those links worked for me!

I imagine that even a miniDVD would require a similar structure to a standard DVD, i.e. an accompanying IFO, maybe in a VIDEO_TS folder.
I'm pretty sure Ifoedit can construct an IFO for your VOB.

TMPGenc DVD Author accepts a single .vob...and will build the other IFO and BUP files you need to make a Video DVD...and if the VOB is too large to fit on your mini disc, you can import the DVD files into DVD Shrink.
