Hmm. Do you want to use your tv set as a your computer monitor? What do you mean by "tv sound card"? Do you mean your TV card or your sound card? Who cares. You won't have any problem. I have a motor home and the computer is far away from the monitor. To make the cable reach, I cut it and spliced in about 50 wires (do you have any idea how many wires there are in a monitor monitor cable!!), replaced shielded cable with speaker wire, wrapped it up in electrician's tape and my monitor works fine. Believe me, you will have no problem.

Hi , i made a mistake when i said " tv sound card " it was tv card

What i want is to be able to see and record tv program on my pc ( record with my dvd burner ) , cause i don't have enough money to buy a dvd burner for my TV so i rather user the dvd burner of my pc to burn tv show But without loose quality compare to a dvd recorder made for tv .

In fact my pc is at 30 meter ( 100 foot ) to my tv and a friend of mine tell me that maybe it's too long for connect my pc to my tv so i prefer ask you guy's before buy tv card and long cable .

You havent bought a TV card yet. It will have a cable connection. You will connect your cable service (or TV antenna) directly to your computer TV card. You may need a splitter of course. Your TV set has absolutely nothing to do with your computer TV card. The TV card has its own tuner. I have an ATI TV wonder card and it allows recording directly to your hard drive. The highest resolution it allows is 320X240, 30 frames per second, which I think is about VHS quality. This is, of course, less than broadcast quality. It records the TV program to AVI files (big files) so if you intend to record much time you will need a huge hard drive. Since you have a PC DVD burner, you must have DVD-making software; it would have come with your burner. You would use this to convert the AVI files into a DVD. This is an f***ing lot of work to get a VHS quality DVD. Wal-Mart sells VHS recorders for $50. OR, many video camcorders can convert an analog (TV signal) into a digital signal (my Sony TRV120 Digital8 can) and send it to your PC via a Firewire and some video editors can record that directly to a DVD. You would need such a camera. I've never tried it but I imagine it would be another f***ing nuisance. Like I said, Wal-Mart sells VHS recorders for $50.
