    New DVD +/- RW

    Hi,

    Need some help please..

I recently bought a new external DVD +/- RW. My laptop currently has a toshiba sd-r6112 DVD-R. This only writes at (2x) and the new writer writes at (x4).

I have upgraded from Nero 5.5 to Nero 6 as the old Nero did not recognise the writer. Still that is all working ok and it seems to write ok but the DVD won't play on my DVD players (Xbox and PS2). When I do the same process with the Toshiba it works fine.

The new DVD writer is a Freecom classic DVD +/- RW.

Is there anything I am doing wrong??

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks all

Try for a money refund on new dvd writer and buy a Pioneer external firewire dvd writer. Lots of people believe all dvd writers are = , but alas, that is simply not so.
