Cannot play avi files with 4CC=mjpg. Have tried several players - BSPlayer, WMP9, GDiVX Player. Tested these avi files on another system and there are no problems with playback.
GSpot has this information. One video codec found = AVI Draw but Render fails with error message
.................................................. ..................................................
DirectShow was unable to render the file. Following is the error it reported:
0x80040204: VFW_E_ALREADY_CONNECTED - At least one of the pins involved in the operation is already connected
.................................................. .................................................. .
I have several codec packs installed on the system as I am trying to do all my video/audio work in one place.
I suspect that the problem may be due to the following video codec
MS MPEG-4 v1,2,3 driver 4.00.0.3688
as the Properties page indicates a problem Status: Driver is enabled but not working properly.
I have tried removing the codec but it reappears and I have reinstalled WMP9, IE6SP1 and the KLite Codec pack to no avail. I am getting desperate.
Would really appreciate any assistance here. Thanks
