    convert mpeg4 to avi

    hi this is my first time on the site and i really need some help. im tryin to change anime movies from avi to .vob and its going great. I recently encountered a problem in which one of the anime movies is mpeg4 and it wont let me convert it. So i was wondering is their anyway i can convert the mpeg4 to avi?

      what do you mean by mpeg4? a codec?
      Mpeg4 is a codec standard (divx, xvid, ms mp4 complying to this), while avi is just a container.

          no its a divx file and i want to turn it back into an avi file

              What you are saying makes no sense. DivX is ONE compression method used in .AVI files.

              Try simply changing the filename's extender to .AVI...
