Hey, i got a xvid movie that is 800mb, too large to fit onto a cd, and i was wondering if there was any program out there that can shrink the thing. Thanks all

Or you could re-encode the audio to a lower bitrate and cut the intro/outro credits combined with doom9's guide of putting more then 700mb on cd (more prone to error when cd is dirty/scratched), which i would recommend as this would not effeect the overall experience of the movie as much as alternative methods.Comment

AVI files can easily become unreadable if only a few bytes are missing, while more enhanced containers like MKV are more error resilient here ......Support the future of audio and video encoding, matroska as open standard container format and Gstreamer as open source, x-platform multimedia platform - Contact us on Corecodec, the concentric circles of audio and video, or on IRC.CORECODEC.COM #matroska ; for best viewing matroska file use The Core Media Player ( TCMP )Comment
