Problem watching movies

I have downloaded the codecs I need, but when I try to watch my movies it jumps, or flickers. Anyway to fix this?

What is the format of the movie?

What player are you using?

Have you tried installing the FFDShow filter?

FFDShow worked thanx. But it only works for some movies. But some movies still do the jumping thing. Anyone know why? The movies are avi,divx,xvid etc. My players are the BSplayer and the Crystal player.

If these are (as I presume) videos that you've downloaded and not created yourself, there can be any number of reasons for the poor playback performance - Sometimes "you get what you pay for"...

It's wierd cause the movie thats jumping was playing fine (before I reformatted my pc) So I guess Im missing a file or pack.

Or, you could have possibly altered some video setting(s)...
