Pacific Dvd Model 1001

Just bought the Pacific 1001 at ASDA and works fine.
People i have spoken to say that it is multi region?.
It plays region 2 dvd`s no problem but when i insert a region 1 dvd it plays then the picture has gone but i have sound then the picture comes back and son on.
I see that a hack has been posted for the 1002 model and awaiting a pm reference a hack for the 1001 model.
Any suggestions as to why the dvd acts this way when a region 1 disc is inserted.

ANY HELP ON THIS MATTER NOST GRATEFULL.

Thanks for the link but step 4 tells you to press the clear button on the remote.I dont have a clear button on my remote??.
