DVD burn speed

I am stuck on a 2X speed for some reason. I am using Dvd shrink with the nero burn engine. I have a pacific digital 8X dvd burner which burns all formats. I am using khypermedia DVD-R which has a 4X top speed. How can i make the dvd burner burn at 4x??

Go to the manufacturer's website and see if they have a firmware update available...
