    horizontal line on avi and mpeg

    hi all

    i am trying to convert dvd vob files to avi and mpeg for svcd
    but no matter which program i use ( vcdgalaxy /dvd2mpeg ) i still get these horrible horizontal lines acros fast moving pictures


    whats the cause and how do i solve it ??

    Sounds like you need to apply a de-interlacing filter...

        If you are making AVIs, you can use VirtualDub and add de-interlacing in the Video Filters tab. For MPGs, you can use TMPGEnc, and add de-interlacing in the Advanced Settings tab.
