    Hey There,

I had the same problem. I solved it by installing an older version. Works fine. If you found another solution please lemme know.

I found this topic at doom9's forum. It seems that subrip doesn't fully support Hyperthreading (P4 HT). oxie submitted to run subrip as a "win98" compliant program.

        Subrip V.1.1.5. Beta

        Hi There,

Guess who? Anyway... I found a version of subrip, namely Subrip V.1.1.5. Beta who does support P4 ****.

If you want it lemme know. Didn't have any problems anymore.

I had the same problem with version 1.17.1 on my P4 under Windows XP Pro and for a while went back to 1.14

Solution for Windows XP: run it in compatibility mode.

Right click the Subrip shortcut, go to properties, click the compatibility tab

Click the 'run this program in compatibility mode" check box and choose which operating system.

I chose Win98 / Windows Me and presto! No more crashes.

          Cheerio
