What is the maximum burn speed of the burnable DVDs you are using?

    (If they are -R/W or +R/W, it's probably 2.4X)

I asked you, what is the maximum burn speed of the burnable DVDs you are using? - NOT the maximum burning speed of your burner!

Even if your burner is capable of burning at 8X, if the burnable MEDIA (BLANK DVDs) is rated at 2.4X, that's the speed you can normally burn it at...

Yes, your system will default to whichever's the slowest, media or burner.
Some problems are solved by manually burning slower you may have read.
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!
