backup copy wont play

i dont know why my back up copy wont play in my home dvd player. i have converted it to video_ts which is 5.04GB then shrink it using the dvd shrink 3.1.7.6 The burning was succesful and the movie played well on my pc. but when i tried it on my home dvd player, it isn't recognized. it says "no disc".
During the process, I clicked on the region free option on the DVD region. i am here in UK. my medium is philips dvd+rw 120 min video and 4.7GB data.
what else should i do?

Have you checked to see if DVD+rw media is compatible with your standalone player?
