Can't watch the backed up videos

I just backed up several video DVD onto my computer. But when I tried to watch them, they just won't play.

    Here is the error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

    HELP!!

These movies for some reasons are in IFO format.

You backed them up, and you don't know why they're .ifo?
What did you use to "back them up"?
Have you got any DVD playing software on your computer, other than WMP?

Download and install a software DVD player, such as WinDVD or PowerDVD...

          Backed up with DVD Shrink

I backed up these videos with DVD Shrink into these IFO format. I have WinDVD but it also doesn't support the backed up format.

How can I open up or watch these backed up videos? Most sincerely.

          John

If you have a fairly recent version of WinDVD, simply select "Play as DVD"...
