    How to change region on .IMG file?

    I have a couple of Replica .img DVD-R images that are PAL. I need to convert them to NTSC.

    Many image files or VTS directories simply allow IFOEdit but these apparently require more.

    DVDShrink can not work with .IMG claiming it has invalid navigation structure.

    DVDDecryptDecrypter will burn the image but not convert it from PAL to NTSC.

    I have tried burning as PAL, then copying the directory structure and modifying the IFO but when trying to reburn with Nero or DVDShrink, it returns errors claiming that the VOBs are not correct.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get these particular .img files converted to proper US formats?

    Do you own the ORIGINAL, commercial DVDs?

      the images are of an old not in press foreign affair that were put together from a non-DVD media source.

      I would love to own original DVD media but sadly it does not exist.

      I have since figured out the problem but want to assure you I was not posting in violation of the board code.

        I was merely going to suggest that, if you owned the ORIGINAL, commercial DVDs, it might be easier to work with them rather than .IMG files...

          What I did to get around it was to mount the image files with Alcohol. This exposed the complete DVD structure and allowed me to make the appropriate modifications.

          Thanks for your suggestion. I had not intended my reply to seem defensive.

              @D3vNull

              How do you convert pal to ntsc?
              would dvdshrink do that? if yes, what option do you use?

              i have a few rare pal dvd's, and only one of my dvdplayers converts pal to ntsc on the fly (for tv output); i would love to make an ntsc copy of them.

              thanks.
