Can XBox read disks without using UDF mode??

I'm just wondering if there is any way to make disks play in the XBox with Nero's standard DVD-Video mode. I know if you can use UDF mode and make the disk video compatible, but I don't know how many stand alone players can read these UDF disks. Tanks for any info.

The UDF mode is in fact the standart format of DVDs.
the UNIVERSAL DISK FORMAT or UNIFIED DATA FORMAT
(funny but this depends on who you ask) was developed
to make disks readable for most different drives and Platforms.
Most standalone DVD players should be able to read it.

That is good to know, thanks. I'm just wondering why Nero warns that is not a video compatible disk then. Also I've tested a UDF disk with XBox video compatibility in one DVD player so far and it would not work. The disk I recorded in standard video mode with Nero worked fine though. The exact same files were used to make both disks.

The preset settings for "UDF"-only mode in NERO do not include ALL of the required settings for standard DVD. Use the "DVD-Video" ( which is actualy UDF+ISO, with ALL required settings)mode instead...
