    Help

I've been using dvd shrink for almost a year now and never had problems till about 3 weeks ago?

The 2 things i can think of that i changed are :
1.windows updates I always dl all critical patches
2.I deleted all the partitions on my 2nd hard drive and put new partitons on it. its a 250gig sata dr I put 1, 20gig and 3, 71gig partitons on it.
    I'm running xp pro sp1 p4 3.00ghz 200gb of ram
dvdshrink use to use about 50% of my cpu and no problems now it uses 100% and freezes or just disapears at about hafway thru
    Thnx for any help

        To motomatta:

Have you updated to the newest version of DVD Shrink (3.2)?

Does it freeze during encoding or burning? You may even have some spyware on your computer burn up extra CPU time. Download Spybot from Download.com. Also do a virus scan.

Also could be something overheating. If your motherboard sees your cpu is too hot it may slow it down. Then you'd see 100% instead of 50%. If it'still too hot the processor can hang up. Try to download motherboard monitor unless you already have software to check the temperatures. Anything over 165F is questionable for CPU for the die temperature, and maybe 150F for the socket.
