    audio problems plz help

    I am trying to convert monster inc avi(in one full file..vid&audio in sync) to mpg.with a view to writing to dvdr.
    when i convert it using tmpeg,the audio goes out of sync,if I use ulead Dvd Movie factory, the audio is great for half the film then goes missing,
    ran the avi through virtual dub and got the following:improper vbr audio encoding-will rewrite with standard cbr values.
    audio seems fine on the altered avi. will this have cured the problem when converting to mpg? or will I have to convert the audio seperately?
    if so what programs do you guys recommend to do this and how do I do it.

    thanks in advance

    "audio seems fine on the altered avi. will this have cured the problem when converting to mpg?"

    If you can't trust the author of VirtualDub, who can you trust? ;>}

    The .AVI you downloaded apparently had the audio encoded as Variable Bit Rate MP3, which, if I remember correctly, TMPGEnc won't handle. If you've allowed VDub to perform the conversion, you should now have a file with Constant Bit Rate MP3 audio - which should make TMPGEnc very happy...
