    99 titles in re-author?

    Hello all,

I've recently made a disc with 56 titles on it, and upon playing it, every DVD player skips from title 42 to 56 and then finishes. Titles 43-55 are there, but if you choose to play them, the DVD player will error out and stop or lockup and need to be unplugged and plugged back in. Playing the files in Windows Media Player does the very same thing, except if you choose to play 43-55, it will just finish and cease to play after each one of these tracks.

I've re-authored the disc several times with no luck, still skips from 42 to 56.

The only thing I can find related to this problem is the following:

"Fixed bug in re-author where only 32 titles could be played in sequence. The limit now is 99."

Has anybody encountered this before, is there any way to get around it?

Also, could somebody tell me what the best program to merge titles and set your own chapters would be?

    Thanks for your time!

If you need only one audiotrack and can do without subtitles, "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (Different than "TMPGEnc", "TMPGEncPlus", etc.) is the simplest way to accomplish this...

I'm running into the same issue, I made a disc with 61 titles, 1-37 play back fine, after 37, it skips to 61. I can play 38-60 by skipping to them, but as soon as they are finished, my DVD player locks up. Is there a resolution/workaround to this issue?

Well mine happens to be clips of many stunt sequences from the first season of the Dukes of Hazzard. And in DVDShrink you can really only break them down into titles. I ended up with 56 on my second disc.

If there is a problem with the ids, isn't it something that DVDShrink caused, because it created the titles.

              Why did it occur?

Is there anything that we can do to fix it besides start from scratch?

              Thanks!

I used DVDShrink 3.2.0.15, and tried again with 3.1 but the result was the same. I checked the ifo of each of the titles, they are being created okay, it looks like the VIDEO_TS.IFO is being created wrong. I opened it in IFOEDIT and there are 121 Pre Commands in the PGC Command table of First Play PGC in VMGM_DAT. The first 60 compare the GPREG0 to a constant that should direct to a program line of 61-121 to play the next title. In cases 1-37, it points correctly to a JumpTT command. The rest point to lines 99-121, which don't contain jump commands. I'm trying to replace the incorrect commands with the JumpTT commands as they should be, but IFOEDIT keeps coming back saying invalid navigation. I'm still working at it though...
