DVD Chapter Extraction & Playback

I would appreciate any information on software that would help me do the following in the easiest way possible:

I would like to extract DVD chapters (from music or concert DVD's) and save them to hard disk in a format acceptable to a player that has the capability of playlist creation and shuffle play.

So, I'm basically looking for the software needed to extract DVD chapters to files and a player that can play the extracted files that allows shuffle play and playlist capabilities.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a PC VJ?

Use "DVD Shrink" in "Re-author" mode. Use the "Start/End" feature to cut the particular chapters to your liking.

Can this question be re-addressed? Is there anything else to do besides use DVD Shrink to create the seperate files? And once all of these files file up say a 160 gb hard drive, will there be a good way of playing the clips randomly?
