Copying audio from a DVD

Can I copy just the audio from a DVD (music for example) to a CD? If so how? Using which software? Links?

There are lot of methods to do this...


A simple one:

Load the vob(s) with DVD2AVI and decode the audio to a WAV !!!

if it's a concert, i would rip the dvd with the option "create vob files for every chapter", then use BeSweet (in batch mode) to extract from vob and convert audio to wav.
that would give you separate files for each song.

What are VOBs? Can this be done with dvddecripter or dvdshrink? I'll like to do this with both concerts (Rush in Rio) and other music DVDs. I can do it hooking the stand alone dvd player with the cd burner but the process will take like forever, the concert last around two hours or more and a little mistake and all will be gone!

i use smartripper in file mode (settings-file splitting-every chapter), then BeSweet with BeSweetGUI in batch mode to convert first vob to ac3, then ac3 to wav or mp3 (using "lame" encoding).

I already have the Vobs for each chapter on my HD but can't convert them to WAV or MP3 with besweet, first it gave an error and asked for .DLL, I downloaded and copied it to the directory where besweet is installed, the error kept happening.
What am I doing wrong?
