    How to run this file?

    Hi,

    I have a file with AVI extension.Like temp[DivX].avi.

    Properties are:

    Stream name : temp[DivX].avi
    Frame width : 352 pixels
    Frame Height : 144 pixels
    Play length : 4621.857 seconds
    Frame count 32353
    Frame rate :7.00 frames/second
    Data rate : 43.477 kb/second
    Video sample size : 1bit
    Video compression : uncompressed.

    I tried with Real player , DivX and Windows muli media player.But it is not shoing anythin.DivX player retuning error like it can't be opend.

    Any idea how can I play this please?

    Is the file completed (not partial)? It looks like the file is still being downloaded, being given the name temp. You can't play an incomplete divx file, unless you reindex it.

      Ah...

      Silly me for too quickly answering.

      This video does not look like a divx clip since it is uncompressed. Also, the frame rate of 7fps looks funnily small. How big is the file supposed to be?

        File size is 200,945 kb.The original downloaded file name is with a movie name.I just refered you as temp file .It say's whole movie.it was laready downloaded full size file from internet.Do you think it is incomplete.Atlest it has to play somthing right?

            Try opening the file with Virtualdub or DivFix. Both are capable of reindexing a partial divx file (if the movie you downloaded really is divx, which I actually doubt). DivFix is the faster one (by much) so use that first.

            Reindexing literally enables you to play a broken divx file, but you have to remember to strip the index (with DivFix too) before continuing the download.
