Mpeg2(SVCD) convert to AVI

Hi, pls can u advise me, how to convert SVCD-mpeg2-file to avi?
I try so much difrent programs....i dont know what to do...
if i f.e. try FlashMpeg1/2 , it write" the file doesnot seem to be valid supported format.

I need convert it, because i dont speak english much good, and i need subtitles.

If u know about some player, which can play subtitles with SVCD, pls write me!!!!!!

VirtualDubMOD (Different than the standard VirtualDub) or MPEG Mediator.

By the way, Flask SHOULD be able to process such a file...
