    can i make from 2 files 1 ???

    Hi all

    I have downloaded a movie in 2 pieces (cd-1&cd-2)
    can i clue it together so that it become's 1 file???

    Open the first part of the movie in VirtualDub. Then, append AVI segment... --> second part of movie. Save as AVI...--> combined movie file name of your own choosing

    This assumes that both parts of the movie are of the same settings, ie. same resolutions, etc.

      Oh yes...

      Also, make sure that both the video and audio tabs are put under Direct Stream Copy.

        I think i can do that butt i'm not sure if both 'parts have the same setting's can i see that some where and i can i make them the same?

          Firstly, play both files and see if they have the same resolution. If your eyes just can't see any difference or you're not sure, open the files using WMP6.4 and have a look at File --> Properties --> Advanced Tab. There you will find the resolution of the movie. If they're the same, and just assuming that the other settings are pretty much the same, do the steps I outlined earlier. Hopefully the final movie turns out alright.

          By the way, you probably just posted this thread when I entered this category. Seeing something that I'm familiar with, I simply wrote the reply straight away. Nothing big about it.

            You'll see more definitive information if you load each file (at separate times) into VirtualDub. Under the "File" dropdown menu, sel;ect "File information"...
