No video with windows media player

I just ripped my first dvd with smartripper and then converted it to two avi files with ripitall. I am also running xp. When I play the first avi file with media player, I get audio, but no video. I can play other avi with media player and get sound and picture, but after I get the error message "this application has failed to start because vobsub.dll was not found."

I can play the avi with InterVideo WinDVD and get audio and video, but no subtitles.

    Please help!!

If your looken for subtitles trying using Microdvd. It has a nice little tutorail on how to do it all. Plus there is a complete one at www.divx-digest.com then go to articles and then scroll down till you see the articles that deal with subtitles.
