PCI Freeview card - scrambled channels

    Evenin' all,

Don't know if this is really the right forum for this post but here goes.
I recently fitted a digital TV PCI card which is pretty good (video recorder functions, time shifting etc). When I set it up and it scanned for stations, it found several channels which it won't display as they are scrambled (UKTV Gold etc). I don't think that they are pay channels (do pay channels exist on terrestrial digital?) but I don't know how to receive them. Is it possible to receive more (or scrambled) channels with software cheats or mods?
Can't remember the brand of the card but if it is relevant, I'll dig the box out of the loft and post the brand.

    Thanks all.

Purchase a descrambler from, or pay the requisite fee to, the company that's broadcasting or transmitting those stations...

A bit of surfing last night (quiet night shift at work) found loads of stuff about 'Top up TV' - new one on me. It is seemingly an expanded, subscription version of freeview.
I am not out to steal channels or get anything for free which shouldn't be, but does anyone know if the extra channels will be accessible on a TV card kitted PC or only on telly with appropriate set top box (with a subs card slot)?
