Im trying to use flaskmpeg so I can convert MPEG video to a audio wav file as I just want the song in a video. But when I output it into a WAV my Windows Media Player wont read it and says I dont have a couple of Codecs even though I just downlaoded the whole codec library from the Windows Media support site. Use VirtualDubMOD (different than "standard" VirtualDub) instead...

"what else does Virtual Dub Mod do?"

            1) Do some research online

            2) Read the builtin "Help" files

              ok last question

I figured out how to edit the video. now Im trying to save it as the mpeg format and when I choose "save as" it doesnt give me the mpeg file format to be saved as. Im using the wintv 250 Hauppage and recorded a show in DVD Standard format which I believe is an Mpeg2 format. So how do I save it the same way w/o losing any quality by saving it in a format that requires add'l compression?

I hope Im getting closer to sleeping. Thanks for putting up w/ me

VirtualDubMOD's output is ONLY in .AVI format (NOT MPEG).

Use TMPGenc or TMPGEncPlus to convert .AVIs to either MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 formats...

                  crap

is there a freeware that converts mpeg video to wav sound file AND exports video edits in MPEG so I dont have to go Mpeg to Avi to Mpeg?!?!?And my goal with the video stuff is to burn them to dvd.

I know I know I was supposed to have no more questions.
