Increase sound level ?

I use to watch a DVD on my portable computer when I travel by train. But often, the sound level is a bit low compared to the train noise... Is there a tool to allow to increase the sound level as it is possible when you create a DivX file ?

Use "VirtualDubMod" or "NanDub".

Have you tried simply increasing the volume of your laptop's soundcard?

Even with highest level set on the sound card, the sound is not high enough...

If I am right, VirtualDubMod and NanDub are DivX tools and I'm looking for a Vob file editor to modify the sound level inside these files. Does it exist ?
