    XVid to DVD+R Question

    Hey all,

So first post and all but bear with me. So I've got XviD files with names like ".r00" throught to - "r47"

I'm not used to this file type so i thought i'd ask you guys. Basically i've got Nero 6 and want to transfer this movie on to a DVD+R or at least get to it so play on my computer.

Now i've sucessfully copied and burnt DVD's but have no experiance with any thing XVid. so any help transfering this on to a DVD+R would most appreciated.

    Many thanks.

"So i've just downloaded a copy of Bad Santa"

"So" you're in violation of the rules of these forums (Particularly, Rule #6) by posting about such activity

Wounce: I've modified your post to remove what was breaking the forum rules. Basically, the name of the movie or the file isn't necessary for solving your problem, and the only thing this does is incriminate you if the MPAA is watching (and they probably are).

As for your problem, looks like you've got a set of compressed RAR files. You should use WinRAR to open up and decompress these files:

WinRAR provides the full RAR and ZIP file support, can decompress CAB, GZIP and other archive formats

After that, you should get a regular .avi which you can play/use/convert.
