    good news :-)

    hi all!
i've been reading this forum for some days after i had troubles using dvdshrink ...
i'm running XP, using dvdshrink 3.1.7 ... and was using nero 5.10.x but enabled in shrink ...
i always got a I/0 device error while the 'device' was brand new!

and the trick really is to use nero 6.x ... writing nero disabled!
i installed nero 6.x and after 30 minutes i had my copy!
so it really payes off to use this forum!
    thanks all for the info!

Not sure I got you - you still have "Burn with Nero" disabled in DVDShrink preferences?

      yes, funny huh ...
writing in nero was disabled before ... and it didnt work ...
now i have nero 6.x, direct writing in nero is still disabled so i first put it on my hard drive ... but now it works ...

and INCD (part of nero) not installed, because i read somewhere on this forum that it can also create an error ...

but anyway ... i'm a happy shrinker now

Think you should update your Nero 6.0.0.x to latest 6.6.0.1 - it's free. http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php

Then you can try to enable "Burn with Nero" in DVDShrink preferences and see if it works.
