Write error

Every time I burn a DVD i get to 94% then it says Write error. I am using a Pioneer DVR - AO8XL I just got the 118 Firmware. I got Ocean's Eleven to burn fine, but I get an error every time with my S.W.A.T and 3 dvd's. Can anyone help?

Which brand of discs do you use? Burning speed? Burning program?

The disc brand is an off brand, but they worked last week. The burning speed is 16x and I am using NERO 6.601.

Perhaps you should try to slow down your burning. Are the discs labeled for 16x burning?

Well I found another blank DVD-R and it finally worked. The kind of DVD that I found has a max burn speed of 4x and it worked. So I don't know if it is the kind of DVD or the burn speed. How can you change the burn speed? If I knew how to change the speed, I could try a slowere speed with my other disks.

If you are using Nero as standalone - change in the burning window.

If you are using DVDShrink (assume you do that) - change it in the backup section under the Burn settings tab.
